Focused on Service

Ann's Priorities

Ann is focused on protecting important records, improving customer service, and strengthening office operations for Dubuque County residents.

  • Protect Important Records

The Dubuque County Recorder’s Office preserves records people rely on at important moments in their lives including property records; birth, death, and marriage records; military service records; and other public documents.

Ann is focused on preserving the integrity of county records, establishing and maintaining careful procedures, and making sure residents get the information and documents they need.

  • Improve Customer Service

County government should be helpful, respectful, and easy to understand. Many people come to the Recorder’s Office during major life events, property transactions, or moments when they need clear answers quickly.

Ann is focused on improving the customer experience by listening to residents and staff, making information easier to access, and helping people understand what the office does and how to get the records or services they need.

Residents deserve a Recorder’s Office that treats people with respect, provides clear information, and works to solve problems.

  • Strengthen Office Operations

Good public service depends on good systems. Since being appointed Dubuque County Recorder in 2025, Ann has focused on learning the work of the office, reviewing procedures, listening to staff and customers, and identifying practical ways to improve operations.

That includes strengthening internal procedures, addressing backlog responsibly, using taxpayer resources carefully, and making sure the office continues to improve over time.

Ann brings more than 25 years of public service experience along with legal, administrative, operations, and customer-service experience. She is running to continue bringing steady, accountable leadership to the Recorder’s Office.
